Madeline Lynch (United States) Residence: April 2017
Madeline Lynch is an artist, traveler and world weaver. As an artist she works in array of mediums including painting, printmaking, collage, and sculpture. She is inspired by nature, vibrant color, and mythologies of the different cultures and territories she visits.
Madeline received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and Philosophy from American University, Washington D.C. in 2009. She has exhibited in Washington, D.C. (USA), New York (USA), Costa Rica, and Colombia. Madeline is the cofounder of the traveling Visionary Art exhibition, Seeds of the Anaconda (Putumayo & Bogota, Colombia).
At Studio Kura, Madeline is working with found retro prints of Japanese movie monsters, and painted meditative organic forms absorbed from the peaceful setting of the Fukuoka countryside.
