We are pleased to announce an exhibition La-la-la by Golda King on November 23(Sat.) – 24(Sun.), as a result of her activity during her stay at Studio Kura.
Born in Cebu in 1983, Golda King earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting in 2013 at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. She has shown her work in various group exhibitions in Cebu, San Francisco, Oakland, Iceland, Tainan, Singapore, Manila.
Golda King paints with an aim to remedy her doubts. King works primarily with watercolour, graphite and gouache –if not with oil paint for massive canvases.
When I want to distract myself from negative thoughts, I say “lalala”, and almost instantly, my mind crawls into a safe space in my heart.
