We are pleased to announce an open studio “PLAY” by Rebecca Green on February 22(Sat.) & 23(Sun.), as a result of her activity during her stay at Studio Kura.
Rebecca Green is an illustrator and author whose work has found a home in children’s and middle grade publishing, editorial illustration, and fine art galleries. In her work, she uses an array of traditional materials including gouache, colored pencil, ink, and cut paper. She graduated with her BFA in Illustration 2010 and has since been working as a freelance illustrator. She has shown her work in Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, Denver, Nashville, and most recently in Osaka, Japan, where she has been living for the last year with her husband.
Peek inside the studio of illustrator and author, Rebecca Green. During her month-long residency at Studio Kura, Green is focusing on play, improvisation, and experimentation. This exhibition will allow visitors to see works in progress, journal pages, sketches, and the artist’s favorite materials.
