Mär Martinez is an interdisciplinary artist specializing in sculptural painting. Her work dissects power dynamics through the lens of a culturally-enforced binary system, and is informed by her Arab-American and Cuban heritage. She received her BFA in Painting and her BA in Art History from the University of Central Florida. She is the recipient of the 2024-2025 Fulbright Award in Painting, where she will be researching the textile archives in İstanbul to create a series of paintings inspired by the weaving process.
