As an architect by education and profession, my interest in the subject was never satisfied with the ultimate goal of building-construction. Over the years I have developed a growing interest in architectural drawing, in the techniques of representation and in the boundary between the art of construction and the culture of the image.
Drawing is a fundamental moment of architecture, the place where imagination and vision are in dialogue with the concreteness of reality, which in the space of paper can be investigated and overcome. Architecture and projects exist in drawing, before their construction.
My artistic activity is interested in exploring architecture and space not as a building-oriented discipline, but as a place for possible narratives and rituals, as well as an archive for personal and collective memories.
Eugenio is staying here in Itoshima for one month and create artworks.
