I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire 1992 BA Hons Fine Art.
I have recently completed at the City Lit London Advanced Art Practice course.
Since 1992 i have been exhibiting my work and in my current art practice I use watercolours and printmaking.
My plan for the 4 weeks at Studio Kura is to explore the environment of Kyushu in particular the Japanese gardens and the Botanical garden in Fukuoka. To build on my current art practice of watercolours the layering of colour and the accidental. I very much like to use texture in my work and collage features in my watercolours. I have recently being making mono prints.
I have visited Japanese gardens in the UK and also in Japan I am very much looking forward to the experience of working intensivly in a studio in Japan.
