Maria is a photographer and illustrator from Portugal. She is experienced in live concert photography and illustrations for children books, among other areas.
Below is Maria do Carmo Louceiro’s statement:
My images aims to address human frailty, as the man who goes against the nature that can not defend itself also attentive to their own kind, too fragile and helpless. Through visual strategies that address the melancholy of a past that despite their valuable assistance in the construction of the present, no longer exists in its entirety, these images confront these two aspects of human nature, the eternal struggle between man and nature, and his past, which helps the understanding and evolution of his own struggle.
