Si Ying (Malaysia) Residence: November 2017
Si Ying is an art and design educator cum motion artist based in Malaysia. She completed her Bachelor Degree of Film and Animation from Creative Multimedia in Multimedia University in 2008. She then pursues her career as a motion designer. Aside from that, she works as an art and design educator in a drawing studio and college.
She is interested in observing every tiny detail in her life, the environment, every moment she experience, and every person around her. She believes in the state of observation, she will be able to feel more than what she used to see around her.
At Studio Kura, she aims to combine her expertise to share what she has experienced (be it the connection within people there, the nature, the culture) through her visual and audio work. She hopes to tell little stories in every observation that she has encounter during her stay.
