Tim van der Meer (The Netherlands) Residency: December, 2014
Tim van der Meer is a Dutch visual artist based in Utrecht. She works in the form of installations, movies and performances. She was given the Expeditie Award in 2008, and her work has been shown throughout Europe since 2010.
While staying at a specific location I try to learn everything about the people and the land they live on, almost become them. My work is a combination of the culture, the landscape and how I relate to these two. These aspects are the ingredients for a work; a new story made out of the ones that are already there, a new perspective. This research can manifest in ephemeral works in the landscape, video, performance and audio.
