Sanae Nicolas

Sanae Nicolas

Born in 1992, Sanaé spent her childhood between Japan and France. Her creativity and
architectural practice led her to work for the luxury house Hermès, where she worked as a set
designer and a visual artist. She was the guest artist for Parisian Hermès windows in 2019
and 2022.
What characterizes her artistic works is the desire to explore, to unveil the powerful character
of the most banal-looking things. She is revealing these daily chronicles through a silent and
mysterious language of objects and happenings, hoping to leave a mark on the unconscious.
Today, she is experimenting illustration with embroidery and tapestry techniques and
collaborates for fashion brands and architecture offices in Tokyo and Paris.

Sanae is going to stay here in Itoshima for a month to create her art work.
