We had an interview with Kristine Marx who is from New York, USA.

Why did you choose Japan to do your project?
I visited Japan twice (Tokyo, Kyoto) and am interested in Japanese culture and tradition.

Would there have been any differences doing the project in Tokyo and Kyoto than in Itoshima?

I can also go running, or bike riding and also enjoy going to hot spring.

Kristine Marx from New York will be working at Studio Kura this month!
She will be working on drawings and animation. We have scheduled her exhibition for March 8.

She is an assistant professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. We are thinking about having her do a talk about her art work, her teaching work. We are sure she will have a lot of interesting things to say! As always, the studio is open while she is at work so feel free to visit.
