Announcing Rose Dickson’s Exhibition “Hiding Place”

We are happy to announce Hiding Place, an exhibition by Rose Dickson, in which she will show work she did during her residence at Studio Kura.

Rose Dickson is a visual artist based in Portland, Oregon. She received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 2012. With support from Oregon Arts Commission, Rose has recently been an artist in residence at Organhaus Art Space, Chongqing, China. Her work is in the collection of Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art and the Smithsonian Museum of American History.

Here are some words from the artist herself.

I am a multimedia artist with a background in photography, which lays a foundation for my art practice. My work explores dichotomies of presence and absence, material and immaterial, surface and expanse. Boundaries of space, time and interaction are explored through various methods and subject matter again and again. Keeping in mind the role of the viewer, the experiential quality of my work invites one to participate within the search.
