Announcing Tomer Reuven’s Exhibition “SitZen”

We are happy to announce SitZen, an exhibition by Tomer Reuven, as a result of his activity during her stay at Studio Kura.

Tomer Reuven as Tumai is a product designer. He completed his Bachelor of Designs in Jewellery Design, Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, Ramat Gan, Israel. Then, he also completed Architectural Engineering degree from the Michlala Leminhal College, Jerusalem, Israel.
Tumai’s process of creation is an endless circle process – searching for root’s motive and one’s needs, defining them and design the product, trying to achieve natural simple objects – be it a single book shelf or a whole house.

Here are some words from the artist himself.

‘Sitzen’ project is about revealing the all ready exist and ‘support it’.
Tumai’s way to design the ‘Sitzen’ chair is affected by Chinese philosophy -‘The Dao’- do without doing and Japanese traditional attitude for product.
As major characteristic of Tumai’s work he will exhibit his work as close as possible to the natural existent of ‘Sitzen’ idea.

* We will hold an opening party and an artist talk on Saturday the 28th, starting at 15:30.
* Exhibitions by other 3 artists (Roseanne May, Stefano Buro, Jem Magbanua) will be held during the same exhibition period.
