We are pleased to announce an exhibition A-un by Igor Moritz as MORTIZ.SÉCIO on April 21 (Sat) & 22 (Sun), as a result of his activity during his stay at Studio Kura.
MORTIZ.SÉCIO – artistic duo
Moritz and Sécio met in Bournemouth, UK and soon became aware of the constant influence in each others artistic expression.
Igor Moritz (b.1996) from Lublin, Poland is a self-taught painter with an interest in morfing the atmosphere of a space into his child like realm. He has had exhibitions both in Poland and the UK. Recently he was selected as one of the finalists of Contemporary Visions 8 hosted by Beers London and with a show in London.
Here are some words from the artist himself.
In Japan the duality between the harmonic and bizarre is embedded in the everyday life. Pairs are often used for protection, representations and symbolism. Like the Niomon symbolizes the birth and death of all things, we came to the conclusion that as a duo, we wanted to portray the contrasting feelings felt in the Japanese landscape.
