We are pleased to announce an exhibition hide-and-seek with folktales’ animals by Desirée Gedda on January 27 (Saturday) & 28 (Sun), as a result of her activity during her stay at Studio Kura.
Desirée Gedda graduated at European Institute of Design, visual arts – illustration in Turin (Italy) in 2010. Nowadays she worked as illustrator for children books.
She improve her drawing searching inspiration by traveling, discovering places, local kid’s games and lifestyle. Japanese culture’s fascinate her and she’d like to mash up with her drawings.

Japanese folktales’ animals have a really different collective imaginary from Europe folktales. Here in Itoshima, I feel the authentic and pristine japanese traditional daily life. I think it is the best background to catch this feeling and drawing about common points between our folktales. My exhibition will be interactive for children and adults.
