We had our yearly outdoors lesson for the Studio Kura kids art school. We used the space under Fuji Studio and everybody built their “summer dome” at the beach.
First we picked up some shells and stones at the shore, to put them inside the dome.
Then we thought about the composition of the dome. We drew it on a piece of paper and transferred it to a plastic board and then…
When we put it into the oven everybody was like “Wow! It’s getting smaller!” with a great look on their faces.
It’s moving as if it was alive!
Next, we stuck in the shells we picked up earlier. Some kids even used clams that were still alive!
We called Chef Yoshida from Kunihigashi for a barbecue.
This looks gorgeous! Children were very happy with the gourmet barbecue, which included hamburgers and meat grilled with herbs.
“I’m hungry!” Thanks to all the girls and boys who joined us, and their parents, and Chef Yoshida who came from a faraway land especially for this!
It was Chihiro’s and Toyoda’s birthday so the chef made them a cake out of pasta! Happy birthday!
