We are pleased to announce an exhibition A man who looks at me, a boy dressed in red and a girl who does not want photos by Maider Gonzalo Salceda on July 26 (Thu) to 28 (Sat), as a result of her activity during her stay at Studio Kura.

Maider Gonzalo Salceda, Erandio, Basque country in 1994, graduated from the University of the Basque Country in Fine Arts in 2016. She is currently studying the master’s degree in research and creation at the university. Above all, she works with photography and video. She works with images that she has taken of everyday objects or of everyday acts. This everyday tasks and objects turned out to be the material that she works with.

Here are some words from the artist herself.

Behind the image of a girl who does not want photos, several people walk at the same time as the girl. They enter and leave all the time. Like a postcard with batteries or a picture where people walk around. The girl rules. She decides over the rest. Decides who enters and leaves, but she´s impervious to what happens behind her.
