We are pleased to announce an exhibition Sleep | ねむる by JP Neang on October 26(Sat.) – 27(Sun.), as a result of her activity during her stay at Studio Kura.
JP Neang is an Artist and Creative Educator from San Francisco, CA and has been a returning resident artist at Studio Kura since 2017. She completed her Bachelors of Arts in Painting and Drawing at California State University of Sacramento. Her work has been shown in contemporary and urban galleries from New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, France, Peru, and Japan.
Inspired by American children stories and Japanese folk lore, this playful exhibition is a study of a child storyteller. I look into my curious experiences. Illuminating the wonder of what may have lurked in the dark.
