アイナは、フィリピンのマニラ出身の新進気鋭のフィリピン人アーティストです。彼女はパペットの演技、デザイン、演出を行い、現在はフィリピンのテアトロン・ムラート（Mulat Puppet Theatre）の副芸術監督を務めています。「ムラート」は、「目を開く」という意味で、フィリピンやアジアの文化の美しさを観客に広めることを目的としています。
彼女のパフォーマンススタイルは、主にインドネシアのウェイアン・ゴレックやウェイアン・クリット、そして日本の文楽に影響を受けています。彼女のショーは、アジアの神話や伝説、環境問題、ジェンダー問題に関する話をしばしば紹介します。彼女の最新の作品は、リトルプリンスのフィリピン版である「プリンシペ・バハガリ（Prinsipe Bahaghari）」です。
スタジオクラ（Studio Kura）での滞在中、彼女は影絵のスタイルをさらに探求し、発展させることを望んでおり、日本の風景をインスピレーションにしています。
Aina is an emerging Filipino artist from Manila, Philippines. She performs, designs and directs puppetry and is currently the Associate Artistic Director of Teatrong Mulat ng Pilipinas (Mulat Puppet Theatre). “Mulat”, which means “to open one’s eyes”, aims to promote the beauty of Filipino and Asian culture to its audiences.
Her performance-style is mostly inspired by the Indonesian wayang golek and wayang kulit, as well as the Japanese bunraku. Her shows often tell stories of Asian myths and legends, environmental concerns, and gender issues. Her latest production is a Filipino adaptation of the Little Prince titled “Prinsipe Bahaghari”.
While at Studio Kura, she hopes to explore and further develop her shadowplay style, using Japan’s sceneries as her inspiration.
