Qinxi Yu is a Chinese artist based in New York, she makes mix-media sculptures, multi-channel videos, and HTML games. She receives BFAs from the School of Visual Arts and is currently enrolled in the MFA program at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago.
Qinxi Yu’s work questions the boundaries of her personal life and the world of technology, politics, and history, she tries to create a thumbnail of the sensory experience of contemporary technological society. Among the forces of science and technology, politics, and history, the world of an individual life is absent and forgotten, and they are replaced by collective attributes.
