Aaron Ossia is a visual artist based in the UK. At his studio, he works on site specific installations and painting, where he investigates the structure of “line” and the fragility within its power and order. In his performative work, as a way of recording objects and emotions, he deals with the notions of pointlessness, futility and awkwardness. It is this aspect of his work that he is excited to focus on, through use of multiple media, during his residency at Studio Kura.
Aaron has been to Japan before for a different residency, and the Japanese language and culture has made a deep impact on his work and point of view. He is excited to work within the tranquil and remote natural landscape that Studio Kura presents!
