Based in Los Angeles while hailing from Singapore, Mel C // Hellumelu works as a UI designer for video games and does gouache paintings for personal practice. The paintings are influenced by memories of nostalgia through media while also incorporating elements of daily life. Hoping to replicate a slice of life of the idyllic town of Itoshima and the surroundings during this residency.
