エリスは、障害者や太った人など、マイノリティの身体表現に重点を置いており、これらの身体を神話や民俗伝承の空想的な要素と組み合わせています。
スタジオクラでは、地元の風景や人々との交流を通じてこのテーマをさらに深く掘り下げ、彼らの神話や伝説を学び、あらゆる人が溶け込める場所を見つけることを期待しています。

Elise Miller is an artist living and practising on unceeded Ngunnawal land (AKA. Canberra, Australia).
While her primary artistic practice is focused on watercolour, she has experimented with other mediums such as sculpture, collage, and other paint mediums.
Elise focuses on the representation of marginalised bodies, such as people with disability from a fat liberation lense and combines these figure with fantastical elements from mythology and folklore.
At Studio Kura she hopes to explore this topic further by connecting with the local landscapes and people of Itoshima learning their myths and legends and finding places in them where people of all walks of life may fit in.
